How to prepare a San Antonio home for listing photos, drone, 3D & video.
A practical preparation guide for a cleaner media appointment, better seller privacy and fewer surprises on shoot day.
Before we arrive
- Turn on interior lights that are part of the home's normal presentation.
- Open blinds/curtains consistently unless privacy or view conditions argue otherwise.
- Turn off TVs and computer displays; remove visible passwords, calendars, family information and sensitive paperwork.
- Move vehicles away from the primary exterior/driveway views where practical.
Interior
- Clear kitchen counters without making the space feel sterile.
- Straighten bedding, towels, rugs and visible furniture.
- Remove pet bowls, crates and litter areas where feasible.
- Reduce personal photos or sensitive items the seller does not want photographed.
Exterior
- Tidy hoses, trash bins, toys and temporary yard items.
- Mow/edge or complete planned landscaping before the media appointment.
- Open gates or provide safe exterior access if they are part of the planned coverage.
- Tell us about features that should not be emphasized before we choose aerial angles.
3D + floor plan
- Keep interior doors positioned consistently so circulation is clear.
- Secure pets and communicate occupied/tenant constraints.
- Remember that floor-plan dimensions are approximate marketing/reference information, not architectural measurements.
